Water Color Steps and Tips
|
Water color is so easy & effective technique to add color to an
image.
-Supplies Needed
1. Small Amount of water
2. Watercolor brush (dollarstore) small tips & medium tips
3. A color source these are just some to name a few- dye based ink pads,
or dye based reinkers, or felt pens (no pigment
ink) must be water based.
-Dye Based Ink Pads Wet brush & touch corner of pad to pick up color.
-Reinkers Use a small drop on a plastic lid & pick up ink with moist
bursh.
-Felt Pens Draw an area aprox. 1" on plastic lid. Pick up color with
moist paint brush.
4. Use a wet bursh to apply color to project.

HINTS
-I often stamp image in black versafine, or stazon because color
does not run if it gets wet.
-You can always use a dye based ink too, becareful not to saturate paper.
-Heavier cardstock, like 80 lb or 100 lb holds water well & you won't
get waves or ripples.
-To get a real artsy look "slip with the brush & go outside the lines"
-it will look great! Water is fluid & has movement!
